Having rescued us, God now establishes a Covenant with His people that we can be in relationship with Him (Abba Father) 

In the book of Exodus God tells Moses that He sees the suffering of His people and promises to come down and rescue them

400 years of silence from Malachi to Christ, with no prophetic utterance until the first Christmas when the Messiah was born.

Abraham, a pioneer of Faith, believed God's promise that He would make him "The Father of Many Nations, waiting 25 years for its fulfillment through the birth of his son Isaac.

God executed judgement upon the ancient world with the Great Flood, Jesus gives a prophetic  warning that exactly the same conditions will exist on Earth at His return, before the Final Judgement "so the day will not close on you suddenly, like a trap!" (Luke 21:33-35)

Sin's downward spiral following the Fall results in Cain murdering his brother Abel .
